Ghost Hunting Societies #2

Ghost, ghost, and more ghost! From the cartoons, youtube videos, and Halloween costumes, ghosts happen to float themselves all over the media and then into our minds. Paranormal occurrences such as this results in muchos dinero for the people who create these ghostly figures and incorporate them into clothing, videos, and books. Ghost hunters exists because they crave excitement in their lives via. paranormal and controversial ideas.

A group called the New England Skeptical Society consists of two very devout ghost hunters. Ed and Lorraine Warren, who have claimed to look at nearly 8,000 cases. “As a regional skeptical organization, they have taken on the task of investigating local paranormal claims” They have also sought to evaluate the phenomenon of ghosts (in the generic sense, referring to all manner of spiritual manifestations).” This group of ghost hunters claims to have scientific evidence which does indeed prove the existence of ghosts. Although, other ghost specialists outside the society have mentioned that their loads of evidence concerning these real ghosts have not undergone any rigorous scientific testing. I believe these situations occur because these ghost hunters are very devout and focused on finding paranormal life that any possible leads will shift their minds towards believing what they saw was real.

Another ghost hunting society goes by the name ‘The Society for Paranormal Investigation’. This group of ghost finding enthusiast have units positioned in Dallas Ft. Worth, Washington D.D. and New Orleans. These are all major cities, which to me means that these serious ghost hunters truly exists. According to their website, the definition of ghost is “the seat of life or intelligence; soul; in addition to, a disembodied soul, spirit, or demon.” An interesting face about this group of ghost hunters is that their work is “methodical, skeptical, and they always strive towards professionalism, first and foremost we believe in having a sense of humor as it is easy to take this field TOO seriously. Hey, even ghosts laugh sometimes.”
